2023-04-25
There is no fixed replacement time for billiard cue heads, they should be replaced according to the wear and tear of the head, generally the head thickness is only about 2mm before it needs to be replaced. The wear and tear of a billiard cue head is related to the frequency of play and the playing habits of the individual, people who play every day have a high wear and tear on their cue heads and may need to change them once every four or five days, while those who only play once or twice a month may not need to change them for six months.
So, how should you replace the leather head of a billiard cue?
1、Remove the old leather head and clean the brass hoop or first corner;
2. Smooth the new head and place it on the brass hoop or horn. The head should not be larger than the brass hoop, otherwise the head will slowly unfold into a mushroom shape after many strokes, which will affect the shot;
3、Glue the head with glue, press it by hand for about two minutes, do not squeeze too much glue;
4、After the head is firmly glued, trim off the excess corners and sandpaper the curvature of the head.
